1. Make your own furniture and decor

If you’re into D.I.Y. then this is perfect for you! Making your own furniture and decor is a great way to save a few dollars.

There are unlimited options to what you can transform your backyard studio into. For a small project, consider a DIY coffee table. You don’t even need to be particularly creative or hands-on to do this. Think about recycling products you already own, such as an indoor trash can. Simply give it a new coat of paint, turn it upside down, and you’ve got a cute side table.  

2. Plants

 

If you’re going to use your studio as an outdoor home office, adding plants is a must. Having plants in the office have been proven to increase both happiness and productivity. There’s really no excuse not to add one! Either grow your own, or head to your local garden store and pick up a pot plant or two. Just don’t forget to water it!

No matter what you’re using your studio for, simple shelving is a great decorative option. If your studio is an office or study area, shelves are a helpful storage area for books, papers, and notes. If it is more of an entertainment area, you can store cutlery, pots or pans. They can even be purely decorational and be full of photographs and various personal trinkets.
