When Aarons were approached to be the Outdoor Play Equipment Supplier to the new Network 10 series, The Secret Life Of 4 Year Olds, there was no way we wouldn’t oblige. Not only have we been supplying cubbies and more for 25-years now, naturally we were the provider of choice due to having the perfect Safety Certified Play range they needed. We also knew the show was going to be a HUGE hit with Australian audiences and there is no better way to show off our amazing products then on a bright and colourful TV screen with gorgeous little kids playing in them!
If you haven’t followed the UK version where it originated, the TV show follows the lives of a group of 4 year old children in a kindergarten set up, where they are tested by social interactions while child psychologists monitor their every move, and where we get to secretly eavesdrop on all of the ups and downs of each of their experiences. It is fun, spirited, will make you LOL, even cry – but overall, it is too damn cute for words!
From the Aarons Early Learning product range, we supplied a Classic Cubby, an Up & Over, a Speedboat and a Walkover Bridge. Such a great selection to encourage the kids get together, interact, have fun, play and use their imaginations. We painted the products in the colour palettes specified by the show’s producers, which has made the products POP on screen. We have many of the cubby displays within our 11 huge stores now painted in a variety of paint colour schemes, which our customers love. Painted Cubbies is definitely the current trend. We delivered and installed the products, then disassembled them after filming was finished. The products are currently proudly on display at our Marsden Park, NSW store.
One of the other reasons Aarons wanted to take part, was that every Christmas, we give away a cubby to one lucky winner. This year, the HUGE prize is the props used on this show – totaling a whopping $5426! Now would that make your Christmas?? We’ll assume yes…
